It might be cool to see Jason get some sort of inhibitor so he can meet up with other characters (or girls in general)
Would love to see their reaction to a guy who's balls will never satiate
Pity they couldn't study the inhibitor. Yet another opportunity slips away.
Is this fight over .... or just beginning.
As @wolverine006 pointed out Neysa said that Nymph bond trancends the progenitor connection. Nymphs are not thralls that is for sure. I wonder your thoughts about this connection wolverine006.
Our heros and heroines will upgrade and ready Invictus in the nick of time before the next battle. I suspect, we have a couple of chapters describing how this comes to pass.
A visit to Mists of Loralar will be inevitable afterwards. What mystries and how many new characters wait us on Mael's throne world? Will we finally reunite with Faye, or at least we see the light at the end of the tunnel?
Kyth'faren and Kythshara are very similar as indicated by many, on previous comments. I highly suspect a progenitor found a Kyth'faren settlement (Kythshara)! He stumbels upon the shrouded hints to an Astral Castle. Soon he discovers it and the hidden knowledge within. Hungry for more power, he applies the Kyth'faren knowledge of self empowerment to himself. This causes the shroud to materialize. In the process this progenitor, his thralls and all his power is consumed to fuel the creation.
Having lost of one of his most powerful puppets to mistry consequences; Xar is very worried. He easily connects the dots and concludes this must be a weapon that can even end him. The sudden apperance of the shroud forces his hand and he decides to be on the offensive side. Mael is his most powerful progenitor at the time. As I speculated before my guess is that he sends Mael to investigate, with Nymphs as psychic batteries designed specificly for this task.
As he wonders in the shroud looking for answers, Mael realizes he escaped the clutches of Xar and strings that used to control him are no longer connected.
Mael makes Kythshara his throne world and starts going through Kyth'faren knowledge. He discovers the location of the other astral castles but he avoids them since he is fully aware how shroud come to existance. Being in the shroud slowly affects his character, he starts to develop feelings for Valada. He also feels remorse the way Nymphs are treated. They are just discardable batteries for psychic power. So he decides to free them.
Deep in the astral Xar was hoping to keep his contact with Mael when he sends him to shroud. Xar approaches each and every problem he faces in terms of power. Like most of the powerful men if enough cash (power) is spent everything can be solved. If there is an Eldritch inhibitor, more power can be summoned to overcome it, which also explains the way Larn portrayed. When he sends Mael and scores of Nymph batteries to support him Xar was sure of victory. When he realizes he has lost contact with Mael, the gravity of the situation dawns on him. Now Xar has to think twice before sending another puppet to the shroud. As a precaution Xar orders his minions to search for and destroy all the remaining astral castles they can find. In the real world the process of creating a thougher Progenitor hardened in years of conflict is initiated. When Xar thinks Rahn is ready he sends him.
Rahn arrives to shroud and the battle I highly suspect that Mael, during their confrantation, hints the location of the other Asthral Castles to Rahn in hopes of him selfdestructing like the previous progenitor. Rahn on the other hand is already indoctrinated very carefully, and he does not bite the bait. So Mael is left with no other choice than self sacrifice.
Years past Xar grows restlest. He orders Larn to investigate but sends him alone in his dreadnaught. This time Xar orders a reconnaissance mission sends Larn. Xar only wants to keep an eye on things at the beginning.
His strategy changes when grasps John is not an ordinary progenitor. Xar and his puppets waste all the chances to eliminate our hero. Alyssa with the help of Athena, is able to protect John after creating her pocket plane and help John to shield himself from the monsters when he travels to astral during his sleep.
In my opinion Xar will send more than one progenitor this time. Thralls of different progenitors hate each other. I am sure Calara will come up with interesting ways to ignite a feud between them before the main battle.
Take care all,
